Reporters of TV Channels, Journalists of Newspapers or Magazines and others who plan to go to Russia to do filming, reporting, or engage in other press and mass-media related activities should receive a special "press visa". This visa may be issued only on the basis of a formal invitation letter from the Russian Ministry of internal affairs (click here to view the sample) which in the "purpose of trip" paragraph states "press".

The visa support for such activities in Russia may also be obtained from the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, which address is as follows:
